Born in France, Jackie Thiaudiere now lives and works in Montreal (Canada). Following training in graphic and visual arts, she attended several drawing, painting and sculpture workshops. She is credited with approximately ten solos exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in Quebec, Chicago, Mexico, Nicaragua, Spain and France.
Fascinated by the texture and properties of fibre, she produced various monochrome and polychrome tapestries before exploring aluminum sculptures. She then expanded her interest in sculptural work, creating monochrome and polychrome low-relief sculptures from salvaged wood fragments. Following her foray into sculpture, she began painting. Working with canvas and hand-made paper, she developed her unique painterly approach, taking a particular interest in color. Her exhibitions from 1990-2007 carry the mark of a colorist's work, featuring abstract works that combine an interest in materials and relief and that call forth elementary evocations of water, fire, earth and sky.

Après une formation en arts graphiques et en arts plastiques, elle a fréquenté plusieurs ateliers de dessin, de peinture et de sculpture. Elle compte à son actif une dizaine d'expositions solos et de nombreuses expositions collectives au Québec, à Chicago, au Mexique, au Nicaragua, en Espagne et en France.
D'abord intéressée par la fibre, elle a réalisé plusieurs tapisseries monochromes et polychromes, avant d'explorer la sculpture en aluminium. Elle a ensuite produit des bas-reliefs monochromes et polychromes en bois, à partir de fragments et de débris récupérés. De ces travaux se sont précisés ses intérêts pour une démarche picturale autour de la toile, du papier fait main et de la couleur. Ses expositions des années 1990-2007 portent essentiellement la marque d'un travail de coloriste, dans des oeuvres abstraites qui allient matière, relief et évocations élémentaires (eau, feu, terre, ciel).
